So Thankful…for Cyber Shopping!

I’m not a Black Friday shopper… I do NOT go out Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Night, or Early Black Friday to purchase gifts! I am VERY introverted and am not brave enough to go out in all the “madness”!!!

I much prefer shopping in the evening hours of Black Friday (when all the people I deem “crazy” are at home resting from their adventures!) OR I will shop online! In fact, while sitting and talking with my family after the Thanksgiving meal yesterday, I purchased a pair of boots from Macy’s at a Black Friday cost! That is my kind of Black Friday! Ha ha!

That’s why I’m so excited about the annual TpT Cyber Monday sale! I built up my wish list the other day (I’m sure I’ll find more if I look again!) and I am SO excited to start purchasing on the 2^nd!

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

Okay, so I LOVE this time of the year! Spending time with my family and enjoying some time off… J

I also LOVE Christmas. It is such a magical time of the year and so much fun to celebrate!

I’ve been working round the clock for the last few days and I think my hard work will pay off! I’ve created something I’m super proud of!

Autumn is Awesome!

There is nothing better than Autumn activities! Actually, there is nothing better than Autumn!!!! :) I've been trying to incorporate Fall into everything that I teach lately! I've got Fall Fever! 

I've already made my students play Halloween-themed games! They have been having a lot of fun with them too!

Playing "Candy Corn Counting: A Ten Frame Game"

These guys are playing "Picking Pumpkins".  This game encourages students to focus on number sequence by having them identify the number that comes before, after, and in between other numbers!

These darlings are playing "Witches Brew". It is a simple number recognition game. They LOVED using the little cauldron!

Fall is FANTASTIC! :)

Yay for Fall!

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The weather is PERFECT...not too cold and not too hot. I love the way the outdoors look, smell, and feel! 

You've already seen a little sample of the apple activities we've done in my room, and I am excited to dive into more! I'm really excited because tomorrow I am going to start a Harvest/Farmer mini unit with my sweet first graders!

It is a product that I created and one that my students last year really enjoyed so I am PUMPED to see how this group reacts!

It is a thrill to me when I make something to supplement my students' learning and they RAVE about it! It makes me feel like I am doing something right! :)

I filled an empty tissue box with some magazine pages and then wrapped it in green tissue paper. I printed out the pictures and then glued them to the box. I wrapped the box in packing tape and presto! I made a graphing page so they could graph the results of their tosses. This should be fun!

Back to School

I've been back to school for two weeks now and I have to say it feels odd to be back! I think I'm still in "Summer" mode! 

My new batch of First Graders seem like a very sweet bunch. They are TALKATIVE and energetic too! We've been having a lot of fun for the last few weeks reviewing alphabet letters and color words (of course I've neglected to take pictures!!).

Anyways... 

I've been hard at work on some new TpT products and I'd like to brag about  share them!

I have an ocean-themed classroom this year and I'm determined to go all out! I made some number cards and number cards with ten frames so that my students can reference them throughout the year.

One set is for displaying in classrooms with younger students (Preschool-K) or possibly labeling lockers, data notebooks, etc. The other set with ten frames is what I am displaying in my first grade classroom. I really like them! They are on my TpT store. Click here to view my store.

I've also finally completed my Old "Meow"d card game for the Treasure's Reading Series 1st Grade Sight Words! :) I'll be printing those cards out each week as we learn them so we can review them in a fun way!
